Alpine’s PP115 for Membrane Roofs, a 2023 Best Seller

The PP115 snow retention system for membrane roofs, pictured here on The Warehouse at Camden Yards, is one of 11 systems named to Alpine SnowGuards’ 2023 best seller list.

The iconic 1,016 foot long red-brick warehouse sits just beyond the Baltimore Oriole’s right field. If you look closely at the roof, you’ll see two rows of Alpine’s pipe-style system stretching across the entire roof.

Owned by the Maryland Stadium Authority and home to numerous businesses, The Warehouse at Camden Yards recently underwent $30-million in renovations and is ideally situated on the Camden Yards Sports Complex, becoming one of the most recognizable landmarks in the MLB.

With pedestrians circulating the Baltimore O’s stadium year-round, safety from falling snow and ice was a concern. Alpine’s PP115 system was installed to retain snow on the slippery membrane roof surface all winter long.

“Simply put,” writes Joe Trezza in the History of B&O Warehouse at Camden Yards, there is no Camden Yards without the B&O Warehouse looming high over the right-field fence at Oriole Park, providing a red-brick backdrop unlike any other on the Major League circuit.”

“Constructed between 1899 and 1905 by the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad to serve the historic Camden Station,” Trezza continues, “the warehouse today stretches 1,016 feet long, just 51 feet wide and stands eight stories high. It holds about 430,000 square feet of space. It is the longest brick building on the East Coast, according to the Orioles.”
