Sometimes You Just Want to See Photos!

If I told you we manufacture solar roof mounts AND snow guards, you might wonder how the two are connected, but when you consider that our snow guard business prompted solar installers to ask if our roof penetrations and flashings could also be used for installing solar arrays, a clear connection can be made.  Through Alpine SnowGuards® growth and success, EcoFasten Solar® was born.

We have been fortunate enough to be a part of many roof-related projects involving some really great people, and over time we have gained a collection of installation images (not to mention some pretty flattering, “proof on the roof” type acknowledgement) that we thought would be nice to share with you.

Winter is over for the vast majority of us, and so starting with some solar projects not only makes sense in terms of seasonality; it also just plain feels nice (and warm), not to mention that today, April 29th, is the annular solar eclipse, also known as “The Ring of Fire”, when the sun will appear as an extremely bright ring encircling the dark side of the moon.  Although we won’t be able to view the solar eclipse from points in North America, if you are in parts of Antarctica or Australia, you may likely catch a glimpse (and yes, I couldn’t help but think of Johnny Cash and Pink Floyd while writing this).

Since we’re starting with the solar side of things, take a look at this impressive installation at Father Murphy Elderly Living Complex in Shawnee, Oklahoma.  The facility is part of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, whose people place a strong emphasis on affordability in housing, caring for their elders, and living as one with the environment.  By adding solar arrays to each of the 16 units at Father Murphy, they are ensuring lower monthly energy bills while maintaining their views on the environment.

Jim Stober, Owner and CEO of Advanced Solar & Wind Technologies in Choctaw, Oklahoma, whose company managed the install for the project, appreciated that the GreenFasten™ Flashing and L-102-3 Brackets from EcoFasten Solar® were easy to install with the Mage Solar PV modules that were selected for the project. Jim, thank you!

Dan Kinney of Catamount Solar in Randolph, located in our home state of Vermont, took these 2 project images which also utilized our GreenFasten™ Flashing with L-102-3 Brackets.  Thanks for sharing, Dan – looks  great!

Tony Cuda of Langer Roofing and Sheet Metal, Inc. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin sent us these images of our #145 pipe-style snow guards with Ice Flags installed on the roof of Pick ‘n Save in nearby Brown Deer.  The snow guards were powder coated to match the roofing material, and I have to say, they look fantastic and clearly did their job managing the snow from avalanching off this roof.

Our SnowMax system is the strongest fence-style snow retention system on the market, and this home in Pawcatuck, Connecticut showcases it beautifully.  A big thanks to Ed White of Fisher and White Construction, LLC in Waterford, Connecticut for sharing this photo with us!  Ed says the homeowners love it, and I would bet that after this winter, they sure are glad they had it installed!
