PP115: A Trusted Solution for Membrane Roofs (EPDM, TPO & PVC)

At Alpine SnowGuards, we pride ourselves on doing the right thing, as opposed to the easy thing.

Well, one such “right” opportunity presented itself recently, and we’re happy to tell you all about it! We’re referring to one of the systems that’s part of our July Special: PP115 pipe-style snow guard for membrane roofs.

PP115: Pipe-Style Snow Guard for Membrane Roofs

The PP115 is, and has been, a core part of our business for a very long time. We’ve been manufacturing it since 2000. In all that time we haven’t had one person come back to us and say the system has leaked. Not one.

Linear Feet in Service Spans Distance Between Boston & NY

Over 1.2 million linear feet of PP115 are in service (and growing). That’s enough to span the distance between Boston’s TD Garden all the way to Yankee Stadium in the Bronx! That’s over 200 MILES of PP115’s.

PP115’s Installed on both TD Garden & Yankee Stadium

Coincidentally, both TD Garden and Yankee Stadium have the PP115 installed on their rooftops!

The system is still made right here in the good ‘ole USA (Morrisville, Vermont to be exact), and has been laboratory-tested (report available on request), as well as field-tested.

In fact, the volume of manufacturing of our PP115 system has been at such great demand, that we’ve increased capacity through equipment processing techniques. We have also automated our manufacturing to the best degree possible. This is in great thanks to new equipment we’ve purchased and a streamlined approach to production.

What does this mean for you? It means the same trusted product you’ve relied on for the past 18 years will continue to be an in-stock product, and will be even more readily available to meet your needs.

Durable & Easy to Install Snow Guard

The PP115 is durable and easy to install – take a look at this install video and you’ll see what we mean.

The PP115 system was designed specifically to be installed on metal decking or wood blocking. A compression seal is formed when flashed with a compatible target patch, by bolting the patch between the stainless steel base plate and the extruded aluminum bracket (base plate is 6” x 8” / bracket measures 4” x 6”).

The innovative system is available in 3 different configuration options to suit your project’s needs: 2-pipe, 3-pipe, and 2 hi-pipe, all accepting 1” OD Pipe for a rugged and attractive snow management solution.

The 2-pipe, 3-pipe, and 2 hi-pipe are all compatible with ice flags, and accessories are available including internal couplings, end collars, and end caps.

We’ve found that a lot of our clients have never heard of ice flags. Ice flags are an accessory to the snow guard system that hang from the pipe, adding additional surface area on the up-slope side of the system. Additional surface area also means additional snow management. Here’s what ice flags look like installed.

The system is available in mill finish or in a HUGE variety of eye pleasing TIGER Drylac® ral powder coating colors to match the roofing material.
