The Snow Bird, a hybrid pad-style snow guard, was created to meet the snow retention needs of the ever-growing synthetic roofing tile market. Since its introduction in March 2021, the Snow Bird material offering has included galvanized steel, pre-powder coated dark bronze galvanized steel, brass, and custom powder-coated galvanized steel options. We are now happy to announce the Snow Bird is also available as a Copper-Plated Stainless Steel Snow Guard*.
* Copper-plated parts are sealed to prevent permanent discoloration during the production process. This sealant inhibits the natural patina process for 2-3 years.
Maximum Strength & Aesthetic Appeal of a Copper-Plated Stainless Steel Snow Guard
We understand the historic appeal of copper and know that when it’s paired with the historic design of the Snow Bird, you have a winning combination – a polished look, fit for the most discerning customer. Honoring our ambition to produce the best performing snow retention products on the market, adding a copper-plated stainless-steel snow guard allowed us to maximize strength while still maintaining an aesthetic that people love.
During in-house testing, we found that the stainless-steel Snow Bird can withstand up to 1000lbs of load on a single guard. The Copper-Plated Stainless Steel Snow Bird is equally durable and performed well in additional product testing. Electroplating technology achieves the high shine copper finish of the Snow Bird which allows the snow guards to patina and be ready for decades on the roof surface.
The Copper-Plated Stainless Steel Snow Bird and all other Snow Bird models are in-stock and available for shipping immediately!
